Ogdoad - Great Year 8 -c. 7500 to c. 33000 years ago.
Ogdoad refers to 8 creatures linked to the creation - not of the universe, but of the current timeline.
Number 8 is the symbol of death for Egyptians, since they used astrology extensively. FYI, astrology comes from Matria Atena (like everything else linked to civilisation).
The Ogdoad consisted of eight deities associated with creation. Not the universe, but humans, who appeared quite recently according to all myths, from all civilisations.
There are stages linked to the emergence of humans - the first stage, the beginning, is c 12.8kya.

They appear in art as reptilian c 7500 years ago - see Vinca and Mesopotamia art.
Art and myths are clearly trying to convey complex notions about the energy that produced them and the fact that there were stages in their ''evolution'' (the opposite of that, see Ovid's work).
MAT HAT (transliterated as Mehit, too). Hatmehit, Mehit.
MAT HAT = MAT 8, meaning Great Year 8, Age of Mat = Orion - when Orion was conjunct Aries 0.
The current Great Year for Terra is 9 (NOAH's means 9 and it denotes the Black Sea Deluge).
Great Year 8, c. 7500 to c. 32000 years ago., corresponds to Ogdoad - associated with number 8.. Number 8 in astrology is related to death, the dead, darkness, evil. It is also the sign of revival, rebirth, the emergence of Light after dark times.
If we break down ''Ogdoad '' into og + doad, we get a variant of ''duat''. Originally ''deata'' - Light, it became ''dead'' for humans. The explanation is simple - Light destroys darkness.
Therefore, Ogdoad , referring to Great Year 8, c. 7500 to c. 32000 years ago, implies the Great Year of the Dead, the Great Year of darkness that needs to be confronted and eliminated. This is how evolution happens.
