This quote, appearing in Part 2, Section 5, illustrates the Party's control over the past to maintain their present power. Their illusion of power is based on LIES = falsified history.

His statement is NOT fiction! The falsification was ongoing during his lifetime and it has never stopped.
They had at least 7500 years to falsify EVERYTHING.
Names. Statues. Busts. Paintings. Events.

created Latin and other languages to erase the past! Latin started with
the deletion of RA from words - such as ''MANAT'' in Latin, but
''ramane'' în Romanian, ''remain'' in English, ''rimanere'' in Italian.
NO LANGUAGE loses a particle then magically makes it reappear!
