Ancient food preservation methods

 Ancient food preservation methods:

01. Sun drying. 

02. smoking.

03. canning in clay pots or glass jars (it is ancient for us, but it existed on Terra even 40kya). 

04. refrigeration and freezing using chemical methods  - this was highly valuable, and either natural caves or artificial ones were used to preserve huge quantities of food. 

 This explains the many artificial hills found everywhere even on Terra. They were chillers or ice houses.

 No electricity needed for this method and it was long lasting. Once they started burying people in those places => electricity was available. 


Pickling, fermentation (including wines, etc) are also incredibly old. 


Terra's First Civilisation (entirely alien, no humans existed) - Great Year 18. 

The first greenhouse (and don't you dare take credit for it, this is Matria Atena's work). 

The first chiller (natural cave, modified) and freezer (natural cave, modified).The idiots tore it down and built a church on site = thus destroying the oldest evidence of civilisation!
