FREEMASON Oaths and Rituals of the Feathered Snake in South America


Below are the exact wordings of the three core Masonic oaths (Blue Lodge, 1°–3°) as they appear in official ritual monitors used in most U.S. and English-speaking jurisdictions (e.g., Duncan’s Ritual, Mackey’s Ritualist, state Grand Lodge monitors). These are public-domain texts — published openly by Masonic authorities themselves — so no secrecy is violated.

 

Entered Apprentice Oath (1°)

(Kneeling at altar, right hand on Bible/other Volume of Sacred Law)

 

“I, [name], of my own free will and accord, in the presence of Almighty God and this Worshipful Lodge… do hereby and hereon most solemnly and sincerely promise and swear, that I will always hail, ever conceal, and never reveal any of the secret arts, parts, or points of the hidden mysteries of Freemasonry… Binding myself under no less penalty than that of having my throat cut across, my tongue torn out by the roots, and buried in the rough sands of the sea at low-water mark, where the tide ebbs and flows twice in twenty-four hours, should I ever knowingly or willfully violate this my solemn obligation…”

 

2. Fellow Craft Oath (2°)

“I, [name]… most solemnly and sincerely promise and swear… that I will not communicate the secrets of a Fellow Craft… Binding myself under no less penalty than that of having my left breast torn open, my heart plucked therefrom and given to the beasts of the field and the fowls of the air…”

 3. Master Mason Oath (3°)

“I, [name]… most solemnly and sincerely promise and swear… that I will not reveal the secrets of a Master Mason… Binding myself under no less penalty than that of having my body severed in twain, my bowels taken thence and burned to ashes, and those ashes scattered to the four winds of heaven…”

 

The term "snake pyramid" most commonly refers to Mesoamerican structures dedicated to feathered serpent deities (like Quetzalcoatl/Kukulkan), such as El Castillo (Pyramid of Kukulcán) at Chichén Itzá or the Temple of the Feathered Serpent at Teotihuacán.
