Coptic Anno Martyrum, Diocletian and Basilica Santa Maria Maggiore

 Coptic years are counted from 284 CE, the year Diocletian became Roman Emperor, whose reign was marked by torture and mass executions, especially in Egypt. Hence, the Coptic year is identified by the abbreviation A.M. (for Anno Martyrum or "in the Year of the Martyrs").

Coptic from KA PTAH, the energy of Ptah (Lucifer, Freyr, Deus/DIO/Zeus, Set, Khafre, Ptolemy XIII, etc etc).

To keep perfectly in sync with the solar seasons (the equinoxes and solstices), a calendar must track the tropical year, which lasts approximately 365.2422 days. The difference between the Coptic calendar's average year and the true tropical year causes a drift of about 1 day every 128 years

 the Coptic calendar  mirrors the exact timekeeping rules of the Julian calendar, which is 13 days off.  

13 x 128 = 1664 (close to the Anno Martyrum  = Julian timeline).

This is exactly why Coptic Christmas (29 Kiahk), which originally aligned with December 25th in the ancient world, is now celebrated 13 days later on January 7th on the modern Gregorian calendar.

This will add a 14th day of drift, pushing Coptic Christmas to January 8th starting in the year 2101.
