 Sephardi Jews: This group emerged primarily from the Iberian Peninsula (Spain and Portugal) and developed a distinct identity after the expulsion from Spain in 1492. 

Ashkenazi Jews: This group began to form in Europe around the 12th century, particularly in Central and Eastern Europe. 

The oldest surviving manuscript of the Babylonian Talmud is the Munich Talmud, completed in 1342. 

The oldest surviving manuscript of the Jerusalem Talmud is the Leiden manuscript, which dates back to 1289.

Yiddish is a Germanic language that appeared quite recently (earliest document is from 1272). 753 years ago. _ Their earliest attested ''language''.
