The Khapra Beetle - Egypt's Beetle Symbol (Capra, not ''Khepre/Khepri'')

 The Beetle symbol, like  the BEE symbol, is prevalent in ancient Egypt.
The Beetle Symbol was read Ca - P - R - a-a. Capra (not Khepri). 

One of the world's worst storage pests. They are "dirty eaters" that nibble slightly on grains, spoiling up to 70% of storage facilities with waste. 

Primary target: Stored grain, wheat, rice, and flour.

 

It is worth noting that not all beetles are bad. Ladybugs (ladybird beetles) and ground beetles are highly prized by farmers. They act as natural biological control agents by eating aphids, mites, and destructive caterpillars, reducing the need for chemical sprays
