From the river to the sea

 Romance languages:

Romanian: De la rau la mare!

Spanish: DEL RÍO AL MAR!

Portuguese: Do rio ao mar!

Catalan: Del riu a la mar!

Sardinian: Da su riu a su mare!

Italian: Dal fiume al mare!

French: Du fleuve à la mer!

Romansh: Dal flum fin a la mar!

 Galician: Do río ao mar!

River is derived from Ri (Ra,Rhea,Re,Ria) even in English.

Romanian, Spanish, Portuguese and Catalan use both RI(ver) and MAR(e) derived from MATRIA > MER (MARY, etc).

MAT + RIA = MATRIA

Ra > tigRA> tigER, lion.

 Germanic languages:

German: Vom Fluss bis zum Meer!

  • Dutch: Van de rivier tot de zee!
  • Swedish: Från floden till havet!
  • Danish: Fra floden til havet!
  • Norwegian: Fra elven til havet!
  • Icelandic: Frá ánni til hafsins!
  • etc (neither RI, nor MER are used in Germanic languages, apart from German and English).
