Orion is chasing its own shadow

 Orion's Bellatrix is at 21° Gemini = antiscia at 9° Cancer.

 Orion's Betelgeuse is at 29° Gemini = antiscia at Cancer 1°.

Therefore Orion is applying conjunction to its own antiscia (which is based on Sun's declination, but used for other purposes, too). 

Antiscia = shadow. 

Shadow = darkness. 

In Jungian psychology, the "shadow" is an archetype representing the repressed, unacknowledged, or unacceptable parts of one's personality (anger, jealousy, power, creativity, etc.).

The idea of "chasing your own shadow" here often translates to the internal struggle of confronting these hidden aspects of the self, a process known as "shadow work". Many stories and narratives (especially modern fiction) involve protagonists who must face a dark doppelgänger or internal darkness that is essentially their own shadow self

The English idiom "chasing shadows" means to pursue something that is impossible or does not exist, like an illusion. This highlights the futility implied by such a pursuit.

In some folklore, "shadow people" or separate shadow entities exist.

 

Antiscia points are defined by equal distance from the solstices (0° Cancer and 0° Capricorn).

Diana kills Orion.

Diana = the LIGHT of Orion, the MC, the Ruler, at Cancer 3°.  

Orion = the mortal hunter, the king of the dead, risen from the dead. DARKNESS. 

Light kills darkness when Orion reaches Cancer 3°.

The myth of Diana killing the mortal hunter Orion implies the previous great year, as the aspect has NOT HAPPENED YET and it happens only once every 25,772 years.
